On Friday, the IRS announced that it would launch a website on April 17 that would allow people to check the status of their payment, including the date it's scheduled to arrive, and the bank account or address where it's headed.
It's called the Get My Paymentportal (good name, guys) and will also allow people to provide bank account information if the IRS doesn't already have it.
The IRS also announced the launch of a new website that will allow people who don't have to pay taxes (such as people with lower incomes, veteran beneficiaries, and others) to send the IRS info about where to mail or deposit their stimulus checks. This news comes as a relief to people who have been wondering whether the promise of a stimulus check applies to them.
