One of the developers behind Call of Duty: Black Ops 7 has further hinted at some classic Black Ops maps making a return,adventures in auto-eroticism': economies of traveling masculinity in on the road and the first thir and it comes just after big leaks about multiplayer.
Over the years, Call of Duty has regularly reused popular maps and weapons from previous games. Rust, Raid, and Shipment have regularly appeared in different games, sometimes with slight tweaks as well.?
It is something that has divided fans over the last few years, too. Some are happy to have the nostalgia hit and return to their favorite maps, while others would rather the devs come up with something fresh for them to play.?

However, they’ve already teased the return of some classic maps. That came during the 2025 Call of Duty Champs, as associate director Lawrence Metten touched on the future.?
Article continues after ad“Black Ops 7 takes place in 2035, we’re jumping over 40 years into the future from our current 90s setting in Black Ops 6,” he said. “Not being tied to a previous era has really given us a lot of creative freedom that you’re going to feel and experience in our maps and our weapons.

Metten promised that they would touch on that a bit more than a full reveal comes during the summer. He also touched on Black Ops 6 and 7 being “connected” titles, with the current game being the “foundation” of things.
Black Ops 2, obviously, had fan-favorite maps like Raid, Standoff, Yemen, Hijacked, and Slums, and it would be interesting to see them return again – especially in the CDL scene.
