Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun announced today that Xiaomi’s self-developed 3nm mobile processor, the Xuanjie O1 (Xring O1), will debut this Thursday. Built on TSMC’s second-generation 3nm process (N3E) and packing 19 billion transistors, the chip is said to deliver performance comparable to Apple’s A18 Pro and Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3. This milestone marks the first time a mainland Chinese company has achieved 3nm chip design capabilities, making Xiaomi the world’s fourth firm after Apple, Qualcomm, and MediaTek with independently developed 3nm mobile processor technology.
