
The LAPD’s Transit Services Division detectives on Feb. 16 announced the arrest of a male suspect that was wanted for an unprovoked battery on the Metropolitan Transportation Authority System.
On Feb. 15, around 7:30 a.m., a male suspect was walking on the platform of the Little Tokyo train station. The suspect approached a female Metro ambassador and, without provocation, punched her in the face. The victim sustained a swollen cheek and chipped tooth. She was treated at a local hospital and later released.
LAPD’s Transit Services Division officers immediately began searching for the suspect. Around 4 p.m., officers observed the suspect walking in the area of 5th Street and Olive Street. The suspect was wearing the same unique clothing.
The suspect is identified as 30-year-old Peter Pedroche (DOB: Nov. 19, 1993), Charge: 243(d)–PC Felony Battery, Booking No. 6762584, with a bail amount of $50,000.
