This project came about after Millan used 100 dogs from his Dog Psychology Center for audiobook research. He found that 76% of dog owners who played audiobooks reported their dogs were more relaxed and calm than their non-audiobook listening counterparts.

Milan suggests that dog owners play audiobooks that are spoken in their own gender. So a young woman should play an audiobook read by another young woman when she leaves.

Every audiobook in the collection was chosen by Millan and includes a special introduction from him before the book starts. The featured audiobook right now is The Art of Racing in the Rainby Garth Stein. Other options include Born a Crime: Stories from a South African Childhoodby Trevor Noah, A Dog’s Purposeby W.
